Youth Centre

Youth Center Program was implemented during 2006-2017 to empower youths on employment opportunities by providing skill-based trainings for better and quality life of youth in Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Banke district of Nepal. The project was initiated and planned after finding the local (Kathmandu) problems and needs of the community youth from the several studies. The focus has been on improvement of life style of local youth by providing skill based educational training with their active participation.

Different skill based activities like sewing, training, cooking, computer, driving, etc. was provided to local youth. Different career development training was the key training that supported youth for the improvement of their skills. From the youth center program many youth were being helped in getting jobs and starting their own business. Behaviors of youth have been changed towards using their free time in a productive way. Each Youth Centers had library facilities, indoor and outdoor games where youth from different religious, ethnic and cultural background used to attend and spent their leisure time. Different social activities such as blood donation, sanitation and awareness programs were conducted in coordination with different ethnic groups, which helped in decreasing the conflict among them.
