In Nepal, agriculture has been the main occupation for about 70% of people living in rural areas and the foremost sector to support the nutrition-sensitive interventions. Most of the people are still not accessed to the proper facilities like food, water, nutrition and many more. So, NIMS has successfully implemented this project in Myaghang Rural Municipality ward no. 4, Kimtang, Nuwakot where now farmers are economically sustain. Many youths have return back to village and involved in agriculture. Farmers there grows different vegetables, fruits, livestock etc.
Similarly, this program has been launched in other three project area also i.e. Myaghang Rural Municipality ward no. 6, Samari, Nuwakot, Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality Ward no. 6, Petku, Sindhupalchowk and Bhume Rural Municipality ward no. 3, Rukum East. From the need of the local community project has been designed by NIMS agriculture consultant and agriculture technician are providing the necessary assistant in field to farmers.
