Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition Program

Maternal, child health and nutrition program is designed on the basis of Golden 1000 days – between women’s pregnancy and child’s second birthday. It is a crucial period of a child to have strong foundation to mitigate malnutrition. The adequate nutrition and right care can help children to have proper physical and cognitive development. This program has mainly been focused on nutritional factor of pregnant women and infants (under 2) nutrition and feeding of Myaghang Rural Municipality Ward no. 4, Kimtang Village in Nuwakot district. Program has been providing nutrient dense food and baby hygiene kit to help children have good nutrition and care. This program was handed over to local government in end of 2020 under Community Development Program.
