Children Feeding Program

Nepal Integral Mission Society is providing nutritious meal to school children on a regular basis in partnership with Convoy of Hope, USA to accomplish the program objective of healthy and well-nourished children. We are focused to those communities where there is food insecurity with a hope to deliver and sustain adequate nutrition.

Nepal Integral Mission Society is currently providing  day lunch to 1,130 children in 11 government schools in 3 different Rural Municipality of three districts i.e. Myaghang R.M. Ward no. 6 Samari, Nuwakot, Lisankhu Pakhar R.M. Ward no. 6 Petku, Sindhupalchowk and Bhume R.M. Ward no. 3 Rukum East. Project mobilize 510 mothers of the children as volunteer in turn system to prepare the lunch in school. Mothers are being trained and educated on preparing nutritious food with locally available resources containing balanced diet so that the families could have access to healthy food in daily basis. In addition to meet immediate nutrient needs, there is a provision of educational sessions on micronutrient supplements, disease prevention, good hygiene.
